Furniture ideas
I have painted my living room Red and orange. We have light grey laminate and white skirting boards and white wooden border across all the walls. Any ideas on what colour furniture will complement this paint please..

2 years agoHi Tasleem Zubair, I would stay on light shades, such as light cream or crispy white, the reason behind this is that the wall colours are eccentric already, therefore you want to get a balanced feel
Should you wish to have a very colourful living room, I have created some colour palettes that could be to your taste.

Comments (2)Sounds like an exciting project! I would get your kitchen plans sorted before you start building work. Have you had any designs done yet? I would have a wall between the living room and kitchen, so you can show guests in there, and try (!) and keep it a bit more tidy. Not to scale, but if you had a u shape kitchen with bar stools, it looks like it would give you more room for a corner sofa and tv behind it, then dining table in front of the bifold doors. Comments (3)Here you go, had to guess some of the dimensions of the apartment, but it's roughly correct, I think. Used the dimensions of your sofa. Used a 150 x 45 cm TV unit. Dining table 90 cm. Hope it helps. You have about 65-70 cm between the back of the sofa and the balcony door. My advise is to get creative with paper and/or tape and put the dimensions of your sofa down on the floor in the apartment. It will give you an idea of how much space it leaves to walk around. It's rather large for the size of the room, but I do like it and if you go for a light colour, it might just work. Try it out with paper or tape before you buy. But i have to say that the one from victoria plum is fantastic value, especially as it includes the marble top and the basin for the price. just note that a lot of the cheaper ones are self assembly but the one from VP is fully assembled. good luck with your project. 2 years agoI think the white dado should go either paint over it or remove and paint in orange. It makes your walls look shorter.
Maybe also consider painting the skirting.

I have orange in my living room. I went for a browny ’brick’ red to contrast.
