Size is approx 4m x 4.2m

I'd put a full wall of tall units incorporating fridge, freezer and ovens on that wall where the ovens currently are. Remove the units where fridge/freezer is and keep that wall free for walkway. Then do either u-shaped kitchen (no island) or a galley style with big island running parallel to the wall of tall units (or you might need a peninsula rather than island to get more space).

U-shaped would give you more units and workspace and could have sink on the wall where sink is currently shown. Then hob on the peninsula bit - or switch the hob and sink around if you prefer sink on peninsula. For wall units above the sink I'd have them all the same height as that's a more modern and streamlined look, rather than having longer ones either side.

How it works will depend on where all those doors lead to and the flow of traffic through the space - it might be better to have the tall cabinets along the wall where the sink is currently shown to open up the u-shape in a different direction for example.

You might have enough space for tall pantry units on the wall where fridge/freezer is at the moment, but I'd choose shallow units rather than the full 600mm deep to avoid blocking off those doors so much. 300mm cabinets would be nice and very practical for storage of dried goods.

I find myself agreeing with CWD's observation- the fridge and it's surrounds seem to be the in the way on that wall and  crowding the kitchen.

Is there a window in this room?

Also the hob area is a bit of a mess as the hob isn't central over the drawer unit, you need to move/lose one of the drawer units and make the hob drawer unit wider and have a hi line unit to the left of the drawers to balance it. another problem with stepping wall units like shown is you really need decor panels to cover the sides of the exposed cabinets, so unless this is made to measure panels your fitter has to either cut panels down to suit (exposed edges) or your designer includes decor panels (not shown) either side and also does the same for the base units (not shown). You also have a pull out unit in the corner with a horizontal handle, as your corner is set at 600 due to the diagonal corner wall, when you open the corner base unit door this will hit the horizontal handle and get damaged.

Oven tower looks wrong as well, unless you want the double oven lower than normal.

So it really wants looking at properly by a kitchen designer.

It was a kitchen designer that came up with this design and I really wasn’t impressed even though it is a first draft.
There’s no windrow in the room as it was looking into a wall so we removed to give more wall space.
It’s a holiday home so no need for lots of storage but want it to look well

Should note - door beside side sink leads to the utility - other 2 doors are actually open plan and lead to a dining room area

As its an enclosed/open plan room with no window, is this room the original kitchen and is the extractor ducted outside and has the extractor moved so its no longer ducted to outside. As its a holiday home you might want to consider the appliances being fitted, do you need the american fr/frz especially if it has water/chiller, you have far to many cupboards then, do you need an island, as you have a seperate dining room. How much cooking will actually be done, would your renters be more inclined to eat out and just want breakfast and possibly lunch.

Good to reach out and ask for advice. I can see why, you have a lot of entry/exit points. It reminds me of a kitchen we are planning with the same amount of entry/exit points. On this one im trying to avoid a 360 degree kitchen and limit the core kitchen area to 3 walls. This you have, but I suspect the two doors opposite each other are a major traffic way? Perhaps the wall that is not currently used could be utilised with your oven and fridge towers leaving full work surfaces to the other two kitchen sections.

An island is a great move to add valuable prep space and a focal point to the room for engaging social chat. to avoid a major walkway through the core kitchen area, it would be worth exploring adding this onto the main kitchen area to promote traffic in a smaller area.

Tall units always create shadows so best grouped together in a smaller combinations. Ovens at mid height work well, however for a holiday home this could be moved into an under counter position if it helps with light and work surface opportunities.

You may be better looking at the flow first as, rather than closing up a window to get wall space, you may be better to review the doors. Can you say that concerns you have specifically about the layout. It’s pretty tight to fit an island and stools into a 4x4.2 space and consider traffic flow through doors through every corner.
