Thanks so much! I have been trying to find a light gray for our exterior and it is impossible!! They are either too greige, too blue, green, or lavender! I have tried every line and can't find it. Did you have any runner-ups in case north star doesn't work?

I don't know about colours. My suggestion (if you are going to paint two colours) is to paint the area below the trim under the large window the same colour as the rest of that wall. Paint only the recessed area of the front entrance and main floor window a different colour. It'll look more dramatic and clean if the second colour is only in the recessed area and doesn't spread to the other wall.

Hi Nicky, my apologies I have only just seen your message. We went for cornforth white Farrow and Ball (which it definitely not white). The shutters are not back open yet but some of them will need to go back on because the large expanses of grey look very grey. The bits next to the white look less austere. The new white garage door with windows has made a big difference. I'd be careful with a very pale grey because if your windows are anything like mine you'll find that they are not actually that white after all....

A very handsome house! - It's not so much the roof you have to worry about matching colours to, it's the red brick, as not soo many go with that. It's a big area to be painted, so you have to be sure it's going to look right. I'd probably err on the side of not painting it anything other than white and changing the window colour instead. Google colour bonding - it colours UPVC windows pretty much any colour and is a fraction of the cost of replacing windows. The front of our house is 'tyrolene'd' but the rest is red brick. We went for a sage colour. I'd be inclined to stick with the white, or render the whole house and paint one colour with possibly a slight shade change for the darker at the bottom. The first mock up looks the best to me. The issue is that digital renderings don't show how the light affects the colour so just bear that in mind. I think the black looks traditional and so a warm grey would be more sympathetic if you want to modernise it slightly. Colours look much lighter on exteriors so it can be a good idea to test things that are slightly darker than you might consider initially.

Most welcome! This one does skew a bit blue too but that's in line with our environment (Florida Keys) so clients typically want ocean hues :) Not sure on runners up as this project was a few years ago. Hope this one works for you!
