Flooring Design Dilemma Kitchens

Please can someone give me some idea of what flooring to go for in my kitchen diner. it needs to match walnut cabinets and a brownish speckled granite worksurface. It is a reasonably sized room with lots of windows. problem is colours look different depending on the area.

Hello Marina, What about having something that has a bit of both... light and dark... Lino is a good way to go as it can be easily maintained and there is lino and lino! Attaching a few images to show you what I mean... Sinclair Till has an absolutely fantastic range... I have attached a few of some complimentary colours and something really bright which could also work... All depends on what you like... I think they have an absolutely amazing range... They do plain colours as well but these here offer a texture in the form of pattern and colours that would detract from any muddy prints.. big or small! ... Lino is also perhaps easier as it is not textured and may be nicer to play around for the kiddies : ))

I also really like the lighter wooden tiles you have chosen but do agree with the above comment you have a lot of different wooden textures going on if you choose that option. Maybe a warm grey stone effect tile could really work in this case. https://www.houzz.co.uk/projects/2575345/ebony-pine-wood-and-cloud-gret-matt-kitchen We used a MP 60 x 60 mashups tile in this project to create warmth within a property that has exposed beams and it worked beautifully. Hi Minnie thank you for the pictures , helped me have a idea , of brown floor with white cupboards , not going to be much light in room as small window, chestnut oak kardean , is what I am now thinking , dark but not to dark , hubby still wants grey though
