Hi! The counter stools look really interesting. Where are they from?

last year

I'm looking for some counter stools for our kitchen bench and have 2100mm width. The ones depicted here don't look too wide and may allow for 4 stools as well as slotting in under my bench. If they are in Melbourne I'd be interested in checking them out. Thanks in advance, Danny

Hi there, yes they are lovely barstools and very comfortable they are 440w so it might be a bit tight for a 2100w bench. Yes they will fit but you need to have a bit of space between them to move around if they are going to be regularly used. They are from a wholesale supplier but can be sourced via retailers. They are called New York.

Thank you all for your comments. kl55hp your project sounds equally exciting. One thing that I learned so far is the need for light, big windows, big doors!! We have exactly the same dilemma regarding living in the house during the building work; it will save a lot of money as well. You have definitely thought this further than us. Sounds like there is a consensus regarding using a professional to help us make some decisions! OnePlan, thank you for the pictures the colours are spot on. Were thinking of a slightly more modern look by incorporating some gloss cabinets to reflect light etc. Thank you all once more!

I think Minnie's right, you have 1m of prep space and that includes any space you want for a drainer for the sink. I think you need the extra space at the back, not maybe for the prep, which you could do in the 1m between hob and sink, but for the kettle, toaster, coffee maker maybe, preparing drinks etc. The space is very tight and I think the storage is quite limited. I put the Fridge Freezer in the big grey cabinet, so you could see the difference between it and the rest of the units as it juts out. This i think can be improved upon too:- I would integrate the Fridge Freezer as the space is small and will look a lot better with a flat profile:-

Out of all the ones you’ve listed I like the one from Perch and Parrow but I’m confused when you say footprint within 48x48cm and this one is listed as 42x42cm. My husband is colorblind too (and our 4 year old too). Can't tell the diference between pale green and beige, between purple and navy. He lets me pick the colors for our house and simply says if he likes certain combinations or not. Even if he can't tell what color it is, if it looks good as a whole, he's fine with it. So even if you can't relate to a color, but it looks okay or in balance with the other colors, trust the wife. ;) All earthtones could be lovely, but some pop would be fun too (like sage/seablue). Just depends on the feel/style you want to achieve.
