I've got two Turtle Mats - one at my front door and one at the back - and think they're fab. The backing means they don't move around too much (I've got laminate flooring in both rooms) and I love being able to chuck them in the wash. Agree they're a bit on the pricey side though; I bought both on mine in the sale and probably wouldn't go for full-price ones. They've got a sale on atm so it's worth checking that out.

ADVICE PLEASE is waterproof matting necessary under floor bath tiles

Any advice would be greatly appreciated ... we have 12mm marine ply base in a 3mtr sq bathroom that needs tiling on a tight budget. from what i can see so far , the waterproof matting ( at £50.00 5sq mtrs roll ) plus joining tape ( £20.00) plus the additional flexi adhesive both under and on top of the matting almost doubles the cost of the project. Logically , unless the matting is seamless with a lip around all the edges and under the wall tiles , to stop any excess water escaping and rotting the walls etc, then am i right in thinking that the principal of waterproof matting underlay is null and void ???? PLEASE ADVISE, as i can't afford or want to sold into unnecessary costs

I recently equipped myself with a small gym in my basement and used sports mats in order not to scratch the floor covering and to make it easier to exercise. Initially I didn't think to buy a lot of equipment, but then I read the article https://treadmillreviewsite.co.uk/what-are-the-benefits-of-using-a-treadmill/ and I decided that I also needed a treadmill. Now I spend every morning before breakfast in my mini gym. That's cool. I started sleeping better and I'm in a great mood in the morning. I regret that I didn't train earlier.

I would just paint up to dado height. The 2nd photo has dado rails which you don’t need but just showing you the radiator painted and taking it up the stairs. I’d also paint the skirting boards and you want to paint around 1/3 of the wall height. I’ve used Little Greene intelligent eggshell which would be fine for dirty paws (oil can be a little stubborn) but think I will be trying Sarah’s Mylands recommendation next given how Matt it is.
