We have one, although the shelves aren’t up to locate it yet. We also have one of the floating lamps and a plain Matt black globe that spins on an axis. We have things for a display. I might get a small orrery :)

This is a beautiful piece of the modern architecture clean lines and materials. My advice is you like to reconstructing make sure you keep some signature elements of the building like the big windows. So bring your needs and personality in it but still keep the originality of this amazing villa.

What do you think about concrete bathroom and kitchen?

Hello Pelagia, I must say I love concrete and it works in both kitchens and bathrooms beautifully! Textured or smooth. Plaster too is an absolute favourite as is terrazzo and all would work together. I would like to suggest these ideas which I think compliment. The other thing of course is to consider how you can carry concrete throughout to create a seamless home. So it forms a coherent material language if you will. It doesn't have to be in large ways it could be in the form of accessories, for example. This first image is mine and includes walls, flooring and worktop to compliment what is actually brass cabinetry with some mid century brass table/chairs and Murano glass. The idea behind it is to create a room in its own right. That is less "kitcheny" in visual appearance and more a functioning beautiful space that you could entertain in as much as you could cook in. Size being key here, of course. You could add concrete shelving etc but I have left the scheme as is to fit the aesthetic. This is just one half of a much larger room but you get the idea. This second I found on the web. I am not partial to mirrored cabinetry but the bathroom has lovely qualities which I think compliment my kitchen design. Some ideas for you to consider. Beautiful accessories and natural earthy elements compliment wonderfully as do a mix of materials, wood, slate and stone. Either way, enjoy what you decide. AJ

I also think it is hung up a tad too high, but I think it works well since the table and chairs are dark. The lamp might be centred so that it is illuminating the painting and creates a layered effect. although the ideal way to do it is to use a spot light. But you don't need to make your house into a museum gallery, so I think you should have some freedom.

It kind of looks unfinished without the wall units IMO so I would keep them. Personally with a modern kitchen I’m not keen on extractors behind doors but that might just be the design and you’re having a chimney as on the amended plan. The only thing I would say is having had a boiling water tap fitted a couple of months ago in my kitchen you only get to use half of the cupboard space underneath because of the filter and tank so don’t expect to store a huge amount in this unit. I’ve had to offload half of mine into another cupboard. Thankfully I had the space.
