How does this look?

Personally I don't think anthracite grey or black suits that style of property. I'd stick with white.

As I said in my previous comment, the style of the property doesn't suit dark frames.

I find all the different windows and doors a little muddled? The bay window looks very traditional in style whilst the other side will look a little more modern? I’m thinking could the left hand proposed doors be amalgamated with the front door in some way? I’m no designer, so I’m not sure how to do this but I feel it could! I think the grey windows will look really good with white render. I collected an item I was buying on Gumtree and their bungalow was just that, grey windows and white render. It looked very smart. Grey windows look less nice with red brick. I’ll try and find some images of refurbished house frontages, if I can!

Here’s some images for you. I also wonder if a solid door in oak would make the front door stand out more to prevent confusion of which is front door, but still sit well with the grey. I’ve also added a house with paler windows which also look fab.

Have you checked with the planning department whether you can change the front of the house like that? If it is significantly different to others in the area, it may not be permitted.

If you want light but won’t necessarily use the access, you could just deepens the window and make a window seat - that might fit better with the bay window. Or a Juliet style balcony door, so you don’t bring the steps right across.

Should we replace the porch or get rid of it?

I think that because you are considering major changes to the front of a semi detached property, an architect would be your best option. The last thing I expect you want is to end up with a mish mash of styles that could be expensive to achieve and more expensive to undo if it doesn’t look right. I think it would be money well spent to get expert involved especially to advise on not only the design but whether you have to apply for planning permission. Good luck with it all.
