I am having a 4m x 4m extension on the back of a small bungalow. It has a pitched roof with bifold doors and fully glazed windows to the apex. The original plans include two roof lights on each face of the pitched roof.
The builder insists we won’t need the roof lights as he feels there will be plenty of light through the windows.
However the extension faces 109* East and doesn’t seem to let much bright light in even without tiles. I’ve included a photo that was taken at 12.10 this lunch time.
Can anyone offer sound advice, please?
Do you think it would be wise to go with the roof lights or not?
I need to decide this week before the roof goes on.
Thank you
I am confused.
