I have just purchased a house that has a cellar, I would love to eventually convert it so it can be a great space for the family, however, I understand this would cost around 30k to do fully, which I don't have right now. Is there a midway point that I could aim for in the first instance until I have saved enough? I'm thinking of making a space that is safe, not damp and for storage / occasional use, rather than an actual finished room.
Are there different stages involved in a conversion?
And one final question, if I wanted to eventually put the utility room down there, would that be doable and would it be expensive to do?
Thanks for reading!
