Inherited a taxidermy magpie that does of natural causes. Tried to display it in honour of the famll I’ll y but not sure if it works with the decor. If not, will continue to store it safely and revisit to another who would live and appreciate this. Thoughts on whether it works within our home

It’s up to you. I hate stuffed animals so I wouldn’t have it in my home. If you decide to remove it you may be able to sell it as a lot of people like that sort of thing.

I never understood why people don't build their conservatory for year round use. It's all about light and heat control. Automatic sun reflective shades along the roof windows will keep the room from overheating in the summer and even help keep it warm in the winter. Proper wall and ceiling insulation, double or gas permeated triple glazing will keep it comfortable year around with the right heating. Add a wee wood stove in a corner with a simply pipe chimney and you have yourself a lovely winter sun room to brighten your cold winter days. If you live where there is snow, even better. It'll feel like a wee slice of paradise.

@Tom Flanagan - thank you! It is my last two homes / projects. I went from Regency mansion flat renovation to 1960's tower block for the view. But, Oh what a view! I strike a happy medium - I have just 3 fridge magnets and 3 or 4 quirky (small) hands displaying various hand gestures, such as a 'thumbs up'. They're used for PO receipts, gift vouchers etc. So neither yay nor nay! A fridge full of 'em would represent clutter to me!

I love him (or her, lol). Some find them creepy but I don't and it's your home. I appreciate the beauty in them and they are very striking indeed! Those colours work nicely but as I say, if you like him then keep him 😊
