Bathroom layout. Help needed!

This is our existing family bathroom, which we are planning to make a jack and jill ,so it's an ensuite to the guest bed and the keeping the existing door leading to hallway. We would like to have a walk in shower/ wet room ,sink and toilet plus storage.
Would appreciate if anyone could suggest a layout other than the one in proposed plan.
We have the freedom to move the ensuit door either to one in proposed plan or where the existing storage is.

I think the proposed layout works well with 2 doors. You could have slimline storage on the 2nd door.

Move the door between the bedroom and the bathroom because no one wants to see the toilet from your bed.

This room should provide plenty of space for everything you are looking to include, without it ending up being too crowded. There is enough space to both sides of the window for a shower, but the window also provides an ideal location for the free-standing bath. The small bite taken out of the room by the adjacent cloakroom provides the potential for some interest, perhaps with counter-height bulkhead to conceal a cistern and have a semi-recessed wash hand basin. Switching the sink and loo seems a good idea to give you a fantastic vanity area with storage above to reduce the clutter. Since your entrance door is angled it won’t be the first thing seen on entry. Your idea of removing the air vent from the window - what is the plan for it’s replacement? It’s doing an important job of dehumidifying the room and a replacement will be required to maintain the pristine ceiling and grout! We recently refurbished a downstairs loo - lots of fantastic independent bathroom showrooms here in Hertfordshire. We had amazing ideas suggested to us ( some with amazing prices). We used the concepts from the very expensive design ideas with slightly less pricey option. We would not have thought of these ideas without the help of the experts, and they identified snags in our initial design that would affect the surface lines and finish that we didn’t know existed!

Would it be possible to move the door so you could gave a shower tray on the 120cm wall? Then you'd have plenty of room for the toilet and basin/vanity on the 170cm wall.

I think that you need 70cm of knee room in front of your wc so I think designs 2&3 are all no go. Although I’m sure people will argue they prefer the wc to not be the first thing you see when you enter, in a small space you must make decisions based on convenience so for me design 4 is better but you should turn the basin onto the other wall to have more standing room.

Hi, I’m an interior designer and I offer a service called Plan Analysis, where I review floor plans, identify potential problem areas and optimise your space to its full potential. One of the most common issues I come across is poorly positioned doors.

The first thing that stood out to me here is how the bedroom door swings into the room, potentially limiting furniture placement and restricting what layout options are available. It can make centring the bed or incorporating larger storage pieces more challenging.

Secondly, while not a major issue, it could become frustrating over time: if you’re using the bathroom from the bedroom and the additional door is open, you’d need to walk around it to close it, which isn’t the most practical flow.

I’ve quickly reworked the layout to illustrate a potential alternative. This is purely conceptual — it’s not to scale (it’s based on the existing items shown in the drawing) and doesn’t take into account all property constraints or your specific priorities.

This option would allow for greater flexibility in the bedroom layout (for example, centring the bed and accommodating larger storage units), while also making better use of the bathroom space. The door positioning improves the flow, as the second door would be within easy reach upon entering, and it also creates the opportunity for additional storage.
