Help needed with Hall flooring in converted flat
Comments (46)Hello Robin, No need to remove anything just add a huge mirror on the right hand wall with some height as I suggested earlier in the thread, then you will get a border reflected and also the arch! It is quite important to work with what you have, and you can cleverly with the oversized mirror! eBay have a shop for them! Once you paint frame to match the walls you will see how useful it could be. Possibly 8ft by 8ft as high as you can go to get the arch in! It's what I would do.. :))...See MoreNeed help choosing floor tiles for a white gloss kitchen.
Comments (2)Hi Mary Choosing floor tiles can be quite daunting as there are so many styles to choose from these days. Here are a few things you might like to consider. Size- go for as large as possible, this will help make a smaller space look bigger. What are your floor dimensions? Style- What style are your units and also the rest of your house for that matter? There are tiles which look like stone, concrete, slate, think about which style would suit your house best. Colour- there are some good grey/taupe options around which would work very well with gloss white units. Work tops - have you chosen them and if so what colour are they. Cleaning - if you have a family/animals I would suggest going for something with a slight texture/pattern to it. They won't show the dirt so much. The world is your oyster really. Hope that helps and good luck. Karen...See MoreA tile of two cities? (help needed to chose tiles!)
Comments (11)Hi Jill, sounds exciting, we always love a good bathroom renovation project, hope you do as well;) Our clients usually opt for neutral grey slate tiles with anti slip texture for the floor and then another type of tile for all the walls (shower, basin, everything) You could break it apart by deciding for a combination of half way and full height tiling. And then you can paint the walls in a complementary colour to give your bathroom that extra design feature. This design solution is timeless and elegant. For the walls we suggest either white metro tiles or marble one. Glossy preferably, so that they are easier to clean and bounce off light to make the space look even bigger and brighter. Good luck!...See MoreNeed help visualising tiles? This may help!
