POLL: What's your dream view?
Comments (12)Countryside. The reality of a sea view for me would be the cold, grey North Sea! Not the romantic vision of turquoise I'd like, but the countryside view from my home through the seasons never disappoints, with the added bonus of mountains in the distance....See MoreShow us your dream bathroom!
Comments (8)My 'dream' bathroom would have a great view, not be overlooked, will be x-factor practical to keep clutter free, clean and tidy with superb ease, be extremely stylish, have a huge tub and a great walk in shower without glass to swipe, have the perfect mood and make up lighting, be spacious, be well heated underfoot and in general, have piped music, space for candles, a bunch of fresh flowers, well hidden clever storage, lots of mirrors, can be opened to the elements, have space for some decorative items and easy to reach towels, and ideally be right next to my dressing room. Oh and it would have a call button for the butler! Can you see it??...See MorePOLL: Bathroom or cloakroom?
Comments (16)I grew up in a house where the toilet was separate from the bathroom, so that arrangement seems normal to me. What makes me prefer that now is the hygiene aspect - when you flush a toilet, apparently some fecal matter becomes aerosolised and can settle on your toothbrush, towels, etc...yummy! Having a shared bathroom and taking a shower after someone else has 'dropped their kids off at the pool', isn't particularly pleasant and air-freshener just highlights the issue....See More'Feature' wall in bathroom? Comments (6)Thank you. the current tiles in there are really quite big - much bigger than this size on the paper. To be honest I'm trying to do as much cosmetic improvement to the house as possible using as little money as possible so I hadn't thought of removing the bottom tiles and doing that whole wall with this paper but yes I think that would look good, much better than doing half. I imagine we could remove the current tiles ourselves but would then get someone in to re plaster that bit of wall? If so, how long is it before you can paper a newly plastered wall?...See MoreSamantha E
