Use over dryly underfloor

Hi can this product be laid over dryly low profile underfloor, like nu heats low pro? And what is the buildup of resin? Thanks

It also depends on whether you have electric, or a "wet" system. Mine is "wet", meaning it runs warm water under the floors, just like a radiator. It is messier and more expensive to install, which is why I had it all done at once during essential building work (as the heating needed replacing anyway it worked out only a little dearer than replacing like for like), but it is much cheaper to run.

I have exactly the same problem so I am interested to see what responses you get! We have been in the house for 3 months now with heating on fairly high and bathrooms particularly warm as they are linked to the central controls and have had no issues yet (we only have ceramic tile in bathrooms). I am considering regrouting but it is hard to be motivated when we have had no issues yet. I take some responsibility because I picked the grout but this was just for the colour, I expected that the building firm would keep us right with technical requirements so I can totally understand your frustration!

HI Kelly, When it comes to under floor Heating you need to be careful when laying the underlay as you don't want it to be too thick and stop the under floor heating to take full effect. We have an underlay in stock which has been designed to work in conjunction with the underfloor heating. The Kronoswiss ProVent foam underlay provides an exceptionally pleasant and quiet atmosphere and offers several advantages. The Micropumping System creates underfloor ventilation of the laminate flooring to eliminate residual moisture, and the additional HDPE vapour barrier protects the laminate flooring from moisture. Not only does the underlay protect against moisture, it also insulates against sound. The footfall level is reduced by 9dB and the impact sound level is reduced by 20dB. This 3mm underlay is also suitable for rooms with under floor heating. When it comes to the height difference if it is going into a different room you can use a door bar which will cover the height difference up to 14mm. I hope this helps. Hi Dominic, I think you can install ufh to both areas. if you are laying UFH in the new extension you will need to have the insulation within the ground slab to comply with Building regs. The hearing pipes will e run to a manifold that controls the zones that are created. based on the size of the floor area you quoted you will probably have 3 or four zones linked to provide an even heat to the area. the remaining areas of your home can have a different system provided- there are options that can be run under existing floor boards on a preformed plate system that will avoid a loss in ceiling height. if you check the Rehau UFH system it can provide both of the types of system. there are many cheaper options for the UFH, but if you start with this manufacturer you can then see the others having compared a high end system with the others on the market. they have a very comprehensive information available online and you can check to ensure you choose the system that works. best Rowland
