1930s-Style Family Home Interior Design – Period Features & Warm Family Spaces

We wanted to breathe new life into this home by restoring it to its former glory, creating a welcoming and warm environment for our clients and their young children. The large hallway served as the starting point, where we designed 1930s-style wall panelling to reflect the building’s original character. Inspired by the grandeur of our favourite hotels, we introduced a mosaic floor to set the tone for the house upon entry.

Period features were reintroduced throughout the main house, including statement cast iron radiators, 1930s-style cornicing, ceiling roses, replica timber windows, and five-finger parquet flooring. These elements provide warmth, visual interest, and a strong sense of history and time.
