This was a lovely job in Stutton near Tadcaster where we converted a very dilapidated workshop/barn in an old limestone quarry. We were able to extend at the rear to create a sun-room/living area and raised the roof by approximately 500mm to create 2 bedrooms and a bathroom in the roof space. The ground floor is largely open plan with a separate kitchen and a ground floor bedroom and a shower room with walk-in shower. Other aspects of interest are the installation of an air-source heat pump and underfloor heating on the ground floor. The thermal performance of this building is excellent with very little heating actually required. We worked with PDS Construction, a local firm, who were great to deal with and got the project built to budget.
