Bottor Cottage, Hennock, Dartmoor

Bottor Cottage was a tired, uninhabited Georgian cottage than had been left to decay. Fortunately our clients, saw the potential of this house and managed to purchase the property and its 3 acre woodland at auction. A dilapidated rear extension was removed to allow the original proportions of the cottage to be reinstated. A new, contemporary extension ( which adopts the proportion of the cottage ) has been added to the rear, separated by a glazed corridor. The extension sits behind the cottage, ensuring the architecture does not compete. The result is a balance between old and new creating a well proportioned 4 bedroom house, located within its own stunning grounds.
