Lee House

This contemporary glass extension replaces an old unsympathetic conservatory. The clean and contemporary, single storey volume, slightly set back from the front elevation, does not interfere with the proportions or presence of the imposing Georgian House.
The extension gives the clients a multi-functional day room from which the generous gardens , and the beautiful countryside beyond can be enjoyed.

The structure of the extension is set back from the facade so that the fine glazing panels can wrap around the room in one continuous run, allowing uninterrupted views out. Large sliding doors give access onto the terrace and gardens. A generous roof light, situated against the house, lets further light pour into the extension, and into the more intimate livings room in the old house.
