Contemporary re-design, Edinburgh, Scotland
The grass in this relatively large back garden had been damaged by two pet Labradors. The brief was to create a contemporary, easy maintenance and relatively dog-proof garden.
Artificial lawn was used extensively to create lush green areas that could withstand attention from the dogs.
A large gravelled circle housing a water feature was constructed in the centre of the garden to give a clean contemporary feel.
An attractive deck was created - large enough to provide a barbecue and seating area with some pots containing lighting stakes and specimen plants.
Borders and raised beds with colourful planting soften the area and provide year round interest.
