The large mature garden was on a two way slope so the plot was unusual and challenging.
The brief was to update and improve the slippery patio area and replace the surrounding retaining wall using more contemporary materials.
The brief also included replacing the slippery steps at side and front of this elevated property with double width steps in keeping with the new materials.

Our design included:

The main patio area extended and replaced using grey Towngate smooth sandstone paving.
The surrounding wall replaced and faced with Tegula walling and capped with Towngate sandstone copes.
Further walls built and clad in Tegula walling to create a large raised bed at the front of the patio.
Double width steps laid at the side of the house leading to the patio using matching materials.
At the front, walls replaced and double width steps laid, again using matching Tegula walling and grey Towngate sandstone.

The project provided a fresh new appearance with improved and updated areas at the side and front of the property.
The weathered patio and walling was extended and replaced with more contemporary materials in soft grey shades.
The large heather bed was removed and replaced with a more manageable raised bed ready for fresh planting.
The front of the property was given a smart new look with replacement walls, platform to front door and double width steps.
Fresh turf at the rear and bark mulch at the front completed the project.
