Cottage Style Garden, Banbury, Oxfordshire

A large garden with a south facing outlook that received a makeover in 2013. Originally very much overgrown and primarily planted with conifers and heathers. This was one of our most enjoyable builds.
A feature lawn edged with low box hedging and a winding gravel path with inset stepping stones. Feature archways along the rear fence for the training and growing of evergreen cotoneasters for berrying interest and to attract birds. We kept a large blue and green cedar trees to give the garden height. Primary planting a mix of shrubs to provide year-round interest.
Underplanting features large bold planting of herbaceous perennials to include Achilleas, Heleniums, Sedums, and phlox to name a few.
