Double height house
Set in Bromley, South London, JMA were entrusted with transforming a semi-detached home into a peaceful and captivating living space. The homeowners, a family with two children, expressed their desire for a creative design that would enhance their home. JMA's design not only impressed the family but also garnered positive feedback from the public.
This project was featured in Series Three of BBC 2's Your Home Made Perfect. The project focused on extending a 1930s semi-detached house for a family of four with grown children. The homeowners wanted a light-filled space that prioritised cooking and socialising. The existing space presented challenges such as limited natural light, low ceilings, and a lack of social areas. The goal was to transform the home into a welcoming and sociable family residence, incorporating additional bedrooms and a sun-soaked dining space at the back of the house.
To achieve this transformation, JMA proposed a unique double-height space at the rear, creating an exciting and visually stunning experience. This concept was brought to life through the use of creative 3D modelling.
