Dual Colour Orangery, Keavil House Hotel
"Mozolowski & Murray demonstrated they understood business, not just construction"
The Keavil House Hotel is a leading Country House and Spa set in a beautiful, rural hamlet just a short drive to Scotland’s Capital City. Nestling in 12 acres of landscaped gardens, it is the perfect venue for guests to enjoy quality food, drink and tailored events, all year round.
Hotel management approached Mozolowski & Murray with an ambition to increase their food and beverage capacity and maximise the hotels opportunity to attract a higher turnover of business, to complement its existing wedding and events business, as well as hotel accommodation revenue.
Our brief was to extend the existing restaurant out to the rear of the property and create a dining terrace for use in the spring and summer months. As Keavil House is a 15th Century traditional country house, our design was key. While it was important to create a modern, functional and welcoming space, it was imperative that we created something to complement the existing style of property. We designed a stunning dual colour orangery with a stone terrace and glass balustrade, so guests could feel part of something traditional but experience a classic contemporary feel.
This was a winter project and involved taking down an existing PVC conservatory and replacing it with a bespoke Orangery. The project was scheduled for a 10-week completion and was handed over on time and ready for the Festive period.
