This garden began as a hand-drawn concept inspired by the principles of Feng Shui, carefully transformed into a fully built landscape designed to feel balanced, calming and harmonious — an elegant outdoor environment for relaxation and entertaining.

The design is based on flowing circular forms rather than straight lines. In Feng Shui, circles represent unity, continuity and the smooth movement of energy. A large circular patio acts as the heart of the garden, creating a natural gathering space and a focal point from which the rest of the design radiates.

At the centre stands a Japanese maple, surrounded by clipped evergreen spheres and decorative stone detailing, providing stability and balance throughout. Curved flower beds wrap around the patio, softening the hard landscaping, while sweeping drifts of lavender create rhythm, fragrance and seasonal colour.

A bespoke, handmade pergola and summer house occupy the rear corner, creating a destination point and sense of enclosure, balanced opposite by a discreet storage structure.

This project demonstrates how a simple concept sketch can be faithfully transformed into a completed garden — a timeless outdoor space combining beauty, function and a strong sense of place.
