Kilmandil House

This contemporary zinc and cedar clad dwelling, set in Co. Antrim, is an accredited Passive House. This house as won an award for Energy Efficiency in 2017.

It is orientated to take into account views over the surrounding countryside, tucked into a site behind the main farmhouse. The large sliding doors encourage solar gain and interrupted views. Large doors are positioned so as to encourage cross-ventilation, to enable cooling of the house during warm and sunny weather. Canopies are situated to provide solar shading during the warmer summer months.
