Mr and Mrs Thompson needed a space perfect for their family home in Surrey. Wanting to make the most out of their large kitchen, there are so many elements in this design that we adore.

Opting for a large island with seating allows for the family to gather in one space, whilst allocating room for drawers, cupboards, an integrated wine cooler and even an open-end table to display their best crockery. The island features an overhang on one side to accommodate for four, large leather barstools that pair with the oak finishings throughout the room. Expertly hand painted on sight in a paint similar to Farrow & Ball’s ‘Pitch Black’, it gives a contemporary feel to the space. Our Shaker Range was used throughout the kitchen, it also made an appearance within the fitted Larder cupboard and adjacent dry bar. These being designed flush within an insert of the room makes it even more special when the doors open to the secret pantry.

Open shelving over the sink area breaks up the room into designated areas, it sports a Quooker tap which is great for instant cups of tea! All hardware is sourced from Crofts & Assinder’s Special Works Henley range with a Brushed Satin Brass finish that sits in harmony with the rest of the interior.
