A stunning, recently finished project in this beautiful 1850's Victorian Villa. It's wonderfully tall ceilings really allowed us to play with the scale here, extending cabinets upwards, complete with a bespoke ladder, that stores neatly away on the side of the pantry when not in use, giving easy access. The extra height really helps the kitchen feel at home in the space, whilst being low enough to respect the stunning cornice here.
You'll see beyond the island, the incredibly useful drinks cabinet... with storage for delicate glassware and bottles above, and space for a coffee machine alongside a small sink complete with boiling water tap, all the necessary bits needed are kept conveniently in one space, tidily out of the way.
The main sink, a large Belfast number from @bidburyandco is of course on the island alongside their brass taps. With quartz worktops from @algarvegranite this is a really practical layout for a busy cook, directly opposite the Aga.
Clever use of lighting, including a statement pendent above the island, allows the room to go from bright and airy when cooking, to soft and elegant if friends are gathered with a glass of wine around the island. Truly turning this kitchen into the heart of the home.
