Hm……a peaceful home….I guess for me it’s many of the aforementioned points (clear surfaces, no clutter etc), but also plenty of space to walk around (w/o furnishings), carefully selected display pieces and art, not knick-knacks and small framed photos everywhere, mostly calm, neutral colors, natural fabrics and leather….color comes from art, rugs, pillows etc. Many a designer would find “flaws” in our home, I’m sure, but we love it; to us it feels spacious, bright, calm, comfortable and inviting.

We moved into our own permanent home without fully decluttering despite quite a lot have been given away but that many old stuff still linger around. The goal is to simplify further and until then, our home will remain a work in progress. We've been busy trying to do small projects to improve storage and better functionality, not to mention some aesthetic add-ons. We're quite far off that's why inspiration, tips and ideas from the community will keep us moving toward our goal.
