I refused to have a television in our kitchen and dining area; much to the consternation of my family. But I stood firm.

We have lively conversations at the table! It is - at times - the only time we are all together.

A quiet house is also very important. Rugs under foot. Soft close drawers and doors. Quiet appliances too.

In order for me to function succesfully, I must have a clean home, clutter-free, well ventilated and most importantly in the evening, enjoy mood lighting. In addition, my home would not feel like a home if, I didn't have my books, my rugs and works of art providing indispensable ambience to my well-being. Plants and flowers are essential as well.
