Winder Gibson ArchitectsThis home is in Noe Valley, a highly desirable and growing neighborhood of San Francisco. As young highly-educated families move into the area, we are remodeling and adding on to the aging homes found there. This project remodeled the entire existing two story house and added a third level, capturing the incredible views toward downtown. The design features integral color stucco, zinc roofing, an International Orange staircase, eco-teak cabinets and concrete counters. A flowing sequence of spaces were choreographed from the entry through to the family room.

MLB Design GroupSoft greens, rich bronze-y browns, and natural wood tones blend together to create a peacefully calming master bathroom. Clodagh wall faucets are installed above Kohler "Verticyl" sinks and below recessed Robern medicine cabinets. The vanity "floats" above the floor with motion-activated lighting installed below to safely guide late-night users through the bathroom without startling them awake with bright light. Heated tile floors are programmable for energy efficiency.

JTID Inc.The large guest bathroom resulted from combining two smaller spaces. This room services both guest bedrooms. As for the master bathroom, hand-cut glass mosaic tiles were used to create a mural inspired by tropical flora and fauna. An antique Chinese box is echoed by the vanity’s lacquered chair. A gold-leafed glass vessel ties in the deeper shades of the mosaic tiles.

If your bathroom is a small space in your home where you don’t spend much time, it’s time to think about alternatives.
