We decided to keep the window coverings simple, with Palm Beach shutters from Hunter Douglas. These have hidden tilt mechansims controlling the louvers. The top third of the shutters are on a separate tilt, so you can leave the upper part of the shutters open, and close the lower section to maintain privacy
