The Popes bedroom walls in Avignon France painted with this leaf motif in the 16th century were the inspiration for this wall treatment. The walls were painted a deep blue then the leaf motif was painted after, then aged as if it were an old fresco. For added beauty, the tips of the leaves and some of the vines were gold leafed to add a subtle aged shimmer to the mural.
