Not sure about the exact floor tile, but the wall tile looks like its a Large "Metro" style tile.

This was the client's own. Catchpole and Rye have similar.

Another inspiration photo (see all of Clare’s Ideabooks here). As the hallway tiles will also continue into the cloakroom – to avoid having two different floorings in such close proximity – they will also dictate the design of the cloakroom, too. They look beautifully smart in this example and perfectly complement the metro tiles, the lovely old sink with its brass fittings and the matching black toilet seat.

Opt for a washstandA classic washstand can elevate a plain basin into something more interesting while adding a sense of space. In this smart cloakroom, it works perfectly with the vintage-style taps, chequerboard floor and metro wall tiles. A hexagonal mirror and shaded, armed wall lamps also add a traditional touch.

Nod to VictorianaIf your home has period heritage, incorporate the theme with a Victorian-inspired bathroom. Metro tiles or black and white encaustics make for a stylish backdrop, while retro-looking pedestal basins, quirky taps and classic close-coupled toilets are easy to come by. You might even be able to find an original piece going for a song in a salvage yard.If a major makeover isn’t on the cards, don’t despair – you can still get the look with a vintage mirror or a selection of apothecary-style bottles.Like a traditional bathroom?
