A contemporary courtyard garden winning Pro Landscaper small project BIG impact award. This contemporary porcelain patio space was designed to be used both during the day and at night. It also exploits viewed from a glass porchway attached to the house where the client can seamlessly walk from garden to home. Slatted timber screen add privacy to the garden and are intersected with Yakisugi burnt timber screens. The first screen is set on the upper porcelain patio area to highlight a specimen Acer palmatum ‘Eddisbury’ tree. The second utilises Corten steel screens that are backlit for a focal point in the lower dining patio area. Gravel pathways with delicate metal edging are flanked by a all green and white planting scheme that varies through the year.
