“La Fortuna” was a diamond in the rough when the team started working on this award winning renovation. By maintaining important aspects of the historic home and reconfiguring where necessary, the house was able to work for the family’s modern needs while respecting the past.
Working with home owner and Designer Paul Devine , the existing Butler’s Pantry was maintained and the Kitchen was redesigned and opened up to encourage entertaining. An old sleeping porch on the second level was converted into the new Master Bedroom for the couple, while the old small bedroom was redesigned to be a large Master Bathroom with a roman tub and open shower. Each of the 5 ½ baths were reconfigured and redesigned to increase space and amenities for the house. The extensive renovation breathed new life and modernity into the old house.
