Large raised planters have been used to redefine this patio space. Two major living areas were hence created - dinning and lounging. Trained Japanese maples (Acer palmatum), fothergilla and golden-leaved Mexican Mockorange (Choisya ternata 'Sundance'), along with a few perennials and seasonal additions, ensure year-round interest.
