Empty Fireplace with Wood Mantle Filled WIth Display Logs

A large alcove in a wall where a fireplace once was has been filled to great effect with decorative logs. The logs are of various diameters, creating a wonderful random pattern, complemented further by the wood mantle. The visible concentric growth rings on the end grains add interest and texture to the installation. The resulting space looks inviting, warm and interesting.
