This Cottage kitchen in a Pennsylvania German farmhouse consists of only 3 highly efficient workstations ( a range is behind the camera). Deep counter tops and counter tops above and behind the sink more than make up for the lack of wall to wall counter tops. Three doors, three windows, an old fireplace (now a desk nook with the small window shown in the picture) preclude the possibility of wall-to-wall cabinetry anyway. Three dimensional workstations like the distressed pine refrigerator/pantry armoire include one-can-deep full height storage pantries on each side of the refrigerator.
