Hammersmith
Modern, London
The client was developing a disused Victorian factory unit behind a row of terraces in W London. Utilisation of a tight space and planning constraints meant utilising the existing building wherever possible, but fitting 21st century technology to do so. This gable end was engineered to match the internal structure and support the triangular glazing while allowing a 6-part lif-and-slide door installation to be used below to give open access to a private terrace garden. We also made and fitted the external and internal fascia cladding ensuring that all the various components were integrated and perfectly matched each other. Inside, a mezzanine deck is just visible.
