Modern home in London.

Hammersmith

Modern, London

The client was developing a disused Victorian factory unit behind a row of terraces in W London. Utilisation of a tight space meant building in place a staircase to fit the old building. Once built there came the problem of fitting a contemporary balustrade to this complex shape. Using a combination of advanced site survey, 3-D modelling and skilled craftsmanship from our welders we fitted a continuous stainless steel handrail that followed the contours of the staircase from top to bottom, transitioning into a frameless glass section at the bottom. This was complemented by a clean stainless steel & glass balustrade on the top landing and a frameless shaped spandrel panel below it.
