Hiltonia Residence

Contemporary Cloakroom, Philadelphia

This 3'x8' powder room presented a challenge as the original tiny hand sink from 1936 had broken and could not be replaced. Instead, the whole room was stripped to its studs. A new tiny sink went onto the side wall with a custom cut mirror with frosted top and bottom edges and a new three light sconce. The new one piece dual-flush toilet really stand out against the 6"x6" slate tile that is used on both the floor and the back wall. To keep a clean lined look, the window was frosted in lieu of blinds or curtains. Finally, the upper panel of the entry door was replaced with a white laminated glass, allowing the natural light to get into the interior hallway of the house.
