Because this structure (formerly a carriage house, dentist's office, and wood shop over the past 100 years!) has historic status, we could not change the envelope of the building. That meant no adding larger windows, so we worked with the existing size! High ceilings and bright walls help bounce light throughout the space. A skylight was added, though, to allow more light into the guestroom.
