After testing the soils and irrigation water, we discovered the pH was 8.0! Much too high to cultivate a healthy, flowering garden. Acidic soil amendments would only temporarily lower the pH, so the entire yard was scraped and 8-inches of pH-correct topsoil was spread. www.hortusoasis.com
