What Houzz contributors are saying:
Make an attractive featureThe angled cabinetry here is not only practical, it’s also a stunning feature. A standard cupboard is straddled by a drawer and shelf arrangement on the left and a column of protruding shelves on the right. This simple, yet beautifully crafted joinery has been given an extra style boost with a pale grey paint colour, which contrasts with the striking red in the corner.
Make a statementIt makes sense to the use corners to maximise space, but don’t forget that angled walls can provide an attractive feature, too. This loft storage is a perfect example of how a functional corner can also be highlighted as a beautiful structure.Instead of seeing the sloped roof as an awkward space to fill, the designers have made a feature of it. The bright red, triangular shelving looks attractive and provides extra storage at the same time.
Inject personality into a cabinetFor a colour as fiery as red, moderation is key. It’s so bright that contrasting it with white or black in such a small space might be too harsh. Soft grey, on the other hand, works beautifully with the red to give this fitted wardrobe a fresh, modern twist. I love to use this trick with a drinks cabinet for a bright surprise when you open the doors.
