I live in a small subdivision in the DFW area. My house is a standard cookie cutter style about 1415sf. When I bought it in 2001, I wanted to replace almost everything right away. Brass fixtures, carpets (even in the baths!), standard white appliances, etc. I've tried to do a little every year, and except for a few small details, I think I have created a nice little space on a limited budget! I love that my small home had some good bones with the open concept and some interesting details.
