The mural is a Tuscan countryside theme. This element of the design gives adjacent open individual spaces a visual continuity and "windows" to nearly windowless spaces on this lower level. The end of the mural that is closest to the pool area depicts the sea. iron balusters give the illusion of a loggia or balconies overlooking Tuscany.
