New (Green) Craftsman Home

This hallway connects the living spaces to the bedroom wing of a home. This home has exterior walls made from structural insulated panels (SIPs) with a traditionally framed roof. The wall on the left of the photo bears the weight of the roof, freeing up the wall on the right to be all glass door panels. The floor is finished with "stranded" bamboo for extreme durability. A floor radiator uses the radiant heat to warm the space.
