The dining room of this mansion as envisioned by Thomas Britt. Here arched windows with very little space between the molding and the crown provided challenges as arched windows always do. The valances here are lined with a stiffener to follow the contours of the window and the metallic trim which matches the wallpaper is hand stitched to the top treatment. The draperies are a beautiful Salmon colored taffeta with the same metallic trim on the leading and bottom edges. Interlined with heavy flannel and puddling on the floor to complete the dramatic effect. The design firm for this project was Thomas Britt, Inc.
