Traditional Living Room, Sydney

Chunky and dark brown leather lounge furniture which was all to dark against the brown/black timber flooring was replaced with custom upholstered sofa and timber framed armchairs in a fresh cream linen. Cushions pick up on the colours in the existing rug with 'fans' pattern a feature on the armchairs. Table lamps with an oriental feel tie in with the client's existing Chinese buffet unit (not shown). A custom made antique-look mirror creates a feature of the fireplace and reflects space and light in the room. Custom made linen curtains soften the corners of the room. Photographer: Sue Stubbs
